Vera Kiss Fit Help
Support & Coverage Guide
Support and coverage can change how lingerie feels on fuller curves. This guide explains our fit language so you can choose styles that feel secure, flattering, romantic, and comfortable for your body.
What This Guide Means
At Vera Kiss, support describes how much structure a style gives to the bust or body. Coverage describes how much of the bust, tummy, hips, or bottom the style is designed to cover. Stretch describes how much the fabric or elastic can comfortably move with your body.
These details are especially important for plus size lingerie because two styles in the same size can feel very different depending on fabric, straps, closure, cup structure, stretch, length, and coverage.
Support Levels
Support is not only about whether a style has underwire. A supportive fit may also come from wider straps, underbust elastic, stronger mesh, multi-row hook-and-eye closures, boning, wider side wings, or a more structured shape.
| Support Level | What It Usually Feels Like | Common Features | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light Support | Soft, relaxed, and easy to wear. It may gently follow the body without creating a highly structured shape. | Wire-free cups, soft lace, light mesh, thin straps, pull-on styles, minimal closure structure. | Lounging, romantic babydolls, soft bralettes, relaxed sleepwear, customers who prefer less compression. |
| Medium Support | More secure than light support, with some shaping or stability while still feeling flexible. | Underbust elastic, adjustable straps, wider straps, power mesh panels, stronger lace, hook-and-eye closure. | Everyday lingerie, fuller bust comfort, adjustable soft sets, customers who want a balance of comfort and security. |
| Strong Support | More structured and secure. It may feel firmer and more shaping than soft lingerie styles. | Underwire, boning, stable back closure, wide side wings, structured cups, reinforced lining, stronger panels. | Bra-sized styles, bustiers, structured pieces, customers who prefer more lift, shaping, and hold. |
Support levels are style-specific. Please check the product page for the support level, underwire or wire-free details, closure type, and fit notes before ordering.
Coverage Levels
Coverage describes how much a style covers or reveals. It can apply to the bust, neckline, back, tummy, hips, and bottom. More coverage does not always mean less sexy; many fuller-coverage styles are designed to feel romantic, flattering, and confident.
| Coverage Level | What It Means | Common Examples | Good For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimal Coverage | Designed to reveal more skin, with smaller panels, lower necklines, higher leg cuts, or less back or bottom coverage. | Thongs, high-cut styles, deep V necklines, sheer panels, strappy details. | Date night, special occasion looks, customers who prefer a more revealing style. |
| Moderate Coverage | A balanced level of coverage that still feels romantic and flattering without feeling too covered or too revealing. | Classic babydolls, chemises, lace sets, hipster panties, standard bodysuits. | First-time Vera Kiss shoppers, everyday sexy styles, customers who want comfort and confidence. |
| Fuller Coverage | Designed with more coverage through the bust, tummy, hips, back, or bottom for a more secure and smoothing feel. | High-waist bottoms, fuller cup styles, longer babydolls, robes, higher-back or smoothing pieces. | More comfort, tummy coverage, fuller bust support, smoothing, or a more secure feel. |
Stretch Also Changes the Fit
A style with the same size and coverage may still feel different depending on stretch. Stretch describes how much the fabric or elastic can comfortably move with your body.
| Stretch Level | How It Usually Feels | Fit Note |
|---|---|---|
| Low Stretch | More stable, less flexible, and less forgiving. | Check measurements carefully. If between sizes, consider your preferred ease and fit notes. |
| Medium Stretch | Flexible enough for comfort while still holding shape. | Often a good balance for lace, mesh, soft sets, and many plus size lingerie styles. |
| High Stretch | More flexible, more body-hugging, and usually more forgiving. | Good for comfort and movement, but may offer less structure unless combined with supportive design details. |
Some styles may have different stretch levels in different areas. For example, the main body may have medium stretch while lace panels or closures may have low stretch.
How to Choose Based on Your Fit Preference
Use your personal fit preference together with the product page details. If you want more comfort, choose styles with stretch and adjustability. If you want more shape and hold, look for stronger support details.
I Want More Bust Support
Look for medium or strong support, adjustable straps, underbust elastic, wider straps, hook-and-eye closure, underwire, or structured cups.
I Want a Softer Feel
Look for wire-free styles, soft lace, mesh, medium or high stretch, adjustable details, and lighter support notes.
I Want More Tummy or Hip Coverage
Look for fuller coverage, longer babydolls, chemises that float away from the tummy, high-waist bottoms, robes, or smoothing styles.
I Want a Sexier Look
Look for romantic lace, sheer panels, lower necklines, strappy details, high-cut shapes, or minimal to moderate coverage styles.

| Bodysuits & Teddies | Light to Medium | Minimal to Moderate | Bust, waist, hips, torso length, closure type, stretch, shoulder-to-crotch fit. |
| Panties | Body Comfort | Minimal to Fuller | Waist stretch, hip room, rise, leg opening, gusset comfort, thong or brief coverage. |
| Robes & Sleepwear | Light | Moderate to Fuller | Bust, hip room, sleeve length, robe length, belt length, shoulder width, fabric drape. |
If You Are Between Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, use the product fit notes as your final guide. The right choice depends on your fit preference and the style's fabric, stretch, support, and coverage.
- Choose the larger size if you prefer more bust room, extra length, more tummy or hip space, or a more relaxed fit.
- Choose your usual or smaller size only if the product has enough stretch and you prefer a closer, body-hugging fit.
- For bra-sized styles, use band and cup sizing. Sister sizes may help if the cup volume feels right but the band feels too tight or too loose.
- For bodysuits and teddies, torso length matters. If you often find one-piece styles too short, check the product measurements carefully before ordering.
